Great opportunity to join our Private Utility Mark Out Team based in Bohemia, NY. Premier Private Locating is looking for an experienced private utility locator. In this position, you are responsible to travel to assigned work sites to identify and mark the location of privately owned subsurface facilities. Utilize various locating techniques and methodologies, identify & mark underground facilities at the work sites, take appropriate pictures, and complete related paperwork.
- Advanced skills in subsurface utility designating field techniques (metal detection, electromagnetic induction [EMI], duct rodding, GPR, etc.).
- Ability to work independently to locate water, sewer, gas, fiber, telecom, electric, sanitary and storm utilities.
- Experience with concrete scanning, GPR and rebar mapping
- Experience with video pipe inspection camera (storm/sanitary sewer)
- Ability to prepare reports and exhibits; basic understanding of computers
- 7+ years of utility locating experience
- Highly motivated; strong work ethic, verbal and written communication skills
- Task management and client relations experience
- Passion for field work and building client relationships through quality work
- Strong commitment to safety culture
